Overview and Course Background

Creative Thinking Course will introduce participants to the art and science of creative thinking by developing rational and logical thinking tools and techniques for decision making, problem solving, risk management and harnessing opportunities. This course enables participants to extend their toolkit of skills and techniques to encourage creativity and drive innovation.

Methodology

Participants are guided through practical steps of the topic with a combination of lectures, case studies and group discussions This course has been designed to support the development of the following core competency areas identified to facilitate individual and organizational success; Creativity, Decision Making, Priority Setting, Problem Solving. Participants are actively involved in all sessions.

Course Objectives

By this course, participants will learn:
  • Know and understand the principles of creative & critical thinking
  • Understand right brain vs left brain and how we use them differently
  • Recognise own preferred thinking style and develop strategies to broaden your thinking
  • Describe the solution focused approach and state situations where it might be applied in the workplace
  • Follow the steps to use a structured, sequential approach to creative problem solving.
  • Use practical tools to break the monotony and enjoy finding solutions.
